A Mother's Day Mantra: Make Life Easier
With Mother’s Day less than two weeks away, my husband recently asked me if there is anything special I would like to do. I was pleased (and admittedly surprised) that he was thinking about something more than the typical flowers or last-minute brunch reservation. So it got me thinking: what better Mother’s Day present than the gift of time and an organized house?
That special Sunday, I will be working with a client who purchased a package of hours a few weeks ago as an early Mother’s day gift to herself. She’s a mom of three who works full-time and her husband also works full-time and travels frequently. It’s been such a pleasure to help her create organizational systems that work well for her and her family.
I was recently interviewed by a writer for the cheapism.com blog. She was interested in learning some decluttering ideas that one can tackle in 30 minutes or less. I began by stating the goal of getting organized is very simple — it's to make life easier. When you can find what you need quickly and easily, then you have more time, energy, and resources to do what you love. I was happy to share a few quick and easy ideas for anyone looking to make a difference in a short period of time. However, making the investment of a few sessions with a professional organizer will yield big dividends in the long term. If you or any Mother you know would benefit from more time and energy, please consider the gift of working with an organizer on this Mother’s day, in Baltimore, Maryland and beyond!
